The Bell Still Rings

by Toby S. Reeves

Written for America’s 250th anniversary, The Bell Still Rings is an original Indiana Americana song about the people who signed, served, sacrificed, worked, endured, and carried the American promise forward. Blending acoustic roots instrumentation with cinematic orchestration, the track moves from the signing of the Declaration through generations of struggle, courage, division, and renewal.

About Toby S. Reeves: I am an Indiana singer-songwriter drawn to songs about history, faith, family, resilience, and the things worth carrying from one generation to the next. My music is rooted in Americana, country, folk, and Appalachian tradition, but I want it to speak to people living right now. I try to write honestly, avoid the usual country clichés, and give every song a reason to exist. “The Bell Still Rings” came from that same place in me, with gratitude for those who came before us and a hope that we will protect what matters for those who come after. Hoosier roots. Appalachian bones.
